What lies beneath the sheets...

PERCALE VS. SATEEN: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?

Percale and Sateen are two different types of weaves used by linen manufacturer to make bed sheets. Understanding the difference between these two weave styles can help you find exactly the kind of bed sheets you desire for your guests.

Percale

One-under-one-over weave, extra durable, pilling-resistant and will improve and soften with every laundry. Crisp and cool, breathable and cool to touch.

Sateen Weave

A tighter weave than percale. Its four over-one-under weave has longer thread to create a ultra - smooth soft feel and shine. Sateen is naturally wrinkle resistant; its sheen will gradually diminish with washing, warmer sumptuous feel.
