Guests want a bathroom that feels like a spa, and there is no denying that the bathroom, can be filled with many small ritual products to help guests feel their best.

Nevertheless, the many beauty products we use often contain harmful ingredients some carcinogenic. The alluring scent of these products allows us sometimes to forget that these products are created using toxic chemicals and artificial fragrances. The way we handle water usage in the bathroom is also crucial when it comes to sustainability.

There are numerous opportunities in the guest bathroom to use natural organic ingredients.

Consider using natural organically-derived soap instead of hand wash.

For body moisturiser, ingredients such as shea butter and coconut oil are great options with antioxidants and fatty acids that can soften the skin. Not only will your guest thank you for using natural body products, but the planet will too.

For a product to be categorised as organic 95% of all ingredients must be natural, products can be certified organic by COMOS.


Look for products that contain certified organic ingredients without:



· Artificial Colours or Fragrances

· Mineral Oils

· GM Ingredients

· Carcinogenic

· Petrolatum or Petrochemicals

· Parabens

· Imidazolidinyl Urea

· Detergent Sodium Lauryl Sulphate

· Propylene Glycol

· Hexane

· Phthalates or Aluminium
